Aikichi Higashi was a Japanese army officer born on January 15, 1911, in Kagoshima Prefecture. He served as a major in the Imperial Japanese Army and held various roles, including staff officer in the 7th Air Division and as the 2nd Commander of the 13th Infantry Regiment in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. Post-war, he transitioned to a lumber trader before joining the Police Reserve. He was involved in emergency and recovery efforts during the Ise Bay Typhoon. Higashi passed away at the age of 62 due to colon cancer on June 21, 1973.
