Aileen Muriel Riggin, known later as Aileen Soule, was an American diver and swimmer, born on May 2, 1906, in Newport, Rhode Island. She competed in the 1920 Antwerp Olympics, winning gold in the 3-meter springboard event. Riggin was the youngest American to win an Olympic gold medal and also had a notable performance at the 1924 Paris Olympics, winning silver in springboard diving and bronze in the 100-meter backstroke. She retired from competitions in 1926, transitioning to film and journalism before relocating to Hawaii, where she passed away in 2002.
