Aimé Charles-Nicolas is a French professor of medicine, medical psychology, and psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the Antilles-Guyane, born on April 28, 1943, in Martinique. He specializes in addiction medicine and co-founded the Marmottan Hospital in Paris in 1971. He directed the Pierre-Nicole Center for severe drug addicts and originated the concept of 'conduite ordalique'. He founded and presided over FIRST, an association focused on HIV and drug addiction training and research. In September 2008, he received the Legion of Honor.
