Ain Roost, born on May 12, 1946, in Uppsala, Sweden, is a former Canadian discus thrower, javelin thrower, and shot putter of Estonian descent. He achieved notable performances at various competitions, including fifth place in javelin at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and eighth in discus at the 1967 Pan American Games. He secured a bronze medal in the same event in 1971. Roost was a four-time Canadian champion in discus and set a personal best of 61.68 m in 1976. He earned a Ph.D. in psychology and currently practices therapy in La Jolla.
