Ainārs Čukste is a Latvian basketball coach born on November 24, 1966, in Valmiera. As of 2016, he coaches the TTT Rīga Juniores, and the U-18 national team. He has also coached the Latvian women's national team in 2006 and served as a referee in the Latvian Youth Basketball League. His coaching accomplishments include winning bronze medals in the U-20 European Championships and leading the U-18 team to its first-ever U-19 World Championship appearance. His son, Kārlis Čukste, is a professional hockey player.
