Major Ajay Singh Jasrotia, SM (31 March 1972 – 15 June 1999), was a courageous Indian military officer in the 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles. During the Kargil War, he selflessly saved the lives of six comrades amid heavy artillery fire. On June 15, 1999, while evacuating wounded soldiers, he was mortally wounded. His heroic actions inspired fellow officers, and he was posthumously awarded the Sena Medal for his bravery and sacrifice. His legacy continues to motivate soldiers in the Indian Army.
