Ajit Jogi was an Indian politician who served as the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, India. He was a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) and studied mechanical engineering at Maulana Azad College of Technology in Bhopal, where he received a gold medal in 1968. After a brief stint as a lecturer, he was selected for the Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service. Jogi passed away on May 29, 2020, after a three-week hospitalization following two cardiac arrests.
