Ajith Perera is a Sri Lankan politician and lawyer, who began his political career in 2009 as a member of the Western Provincial Council. He was first elected to the Parliament in 2010 representing the United National Party from Kalutara District and was re-elected in 2015. He currently serves as the Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, having previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Born on December 2, 1967, in Bandaragama, he is also a father to three children.
