Akere Tabeng Muna is a prominent Cameroonian lawyer and anti-corruption advocate. He currently serves on the African Union High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa and is Co-Chair of the Common African Position on Asset Recovery. His past roles include Chairman of the International Anti-Corruption Conference Council and Sanctions Commissioner of the African Development Bank. Muna has been Vice-Chair of Transparency International and led various legal associations. Despite denying political ambitions, he is regarded as a potential successor to President Paul Biya due to his significant accomplishments.
