Akira Miki (February 16, 1921 - June 22, 2000) was a prominent Japanese businessman, known as the first president of Yahata Steel. He played significant roles in the successor company Nippon Steel as chairman, and also served as vice chairman of the Japan Business Federation. Miki had a background in law, studying at Niigata High School and Kyoto Imperial University, and experienced in management through various positions in his career. He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun in 1994 before passing away in 2000 due to respiratory failure.
