Akira Nishihira, born on February 13, 1958, is a Japanese composer, arranger, keyboardist, and music university lecturer from Tokyo. He graduated from Keio University Faculty of Letters. In the 1980s, he was active as a keyboardist and composer for the backing band of Junji Sawada, called The Exotics. He later worked as an arranger and keyboardist for artists like Koji Kikkawa and Kyosuke Himuro while also serving as a keyboard lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
