Kaj Aksel Thorsager (1933-2020) was a notable Danish athlete and police assistant, recognized for his impressive career as a shot putter during the 1950s and 1960s. He won five Danish championships and represented Denmark in the European Championships in 1958 and 1962. Thorsager notably broke the Danish shot put record nine times within five years, with a personal best of 17.17 meters set in 1962. He held the senior record from Bornholm in 1957 with a throw of 15.45 meters. Aksel Thorsager was the son of a Lutheran pastor and a dedicated community member.
