Aku Antero Ahjolinna, born on August 8, 1946, in Helsinki, is a prominent Finnish ballet dancer and choreographer. He began his ballet training at the Finnish National Opera Ballet School and joined the Finnish National Ballet at age 17. Ahjolinna became a solo dancer by 1969 and studied internationally, touring extensively. As a choreographer, he debuted in 1984 with 'The Damask Drum.' Notable roles included Khan Girey in 'The Fountain of Bakhchisarai' and Iago in 'Othello.' He retired from ballet in 1993 and is married to ballerina Saga Eriksson.
