Abdul Maqsoud Mohamed Askar (January 2, 1934 – January 6, 2023) was a prominent figure in Egypt, known for his role as the Assistant Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy and as a member of the Egyptian Parliament. Askar was affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc and served in the First District of Tanta in Gharbia Governorate. He was born in the village of Mit al-Rukha in Zefta on January 2, 1934, and he played an important role in Egyptian politics throughout his life.
