Alan Ansen (January 23, 1922 – November 12, 2006) was an American poet. He grew up on Long Island and studied at Harvard University. In the late 1940s, he assisted W. H. Auden and contributed to books like The Portable Greek Reader and Poets of the English Language. He was friends with several writers from the Beat Generation and appears as Rollo Greb in Jack Kerouac's On the Road. His first poetry collection, The Old Religion, was published in 1959, followed by several other works. He lived in Greece from the 1960s.
