Alan D. D'Andrea is a prominent American cancer researcher, holding the position of the Fuller American Cancer Society Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. His research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute concentrates on chromosome instability and its relationship to cancer susceptibility. D'Andrea also directs the Center for DNA Damage and Repair as well as the Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancer. Early in his career, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute where he was instrumental in cloning the erythropoietin receptor.
