Alan Douglas is a Scottish journalist and broadcaster born on October 16, 1951, in Dundee. He was a reporter and studio presenter for BBC Scotland's Reporting Scotland from 1978 to 1996, and after that co-presented the BAFTA-winning The Home Show. With over forty years in journalism, he has also worked in local radio and written extensively about motoring. Douglas is a former founding director of a media consultancy and holds various driving licenses. He resides in a hillside cottage in Angus after living in Glasgow.
