Alan Avery Allen Horsley, born on May 13, 1936, is a retired Anglican priest and author from the 20th century. He received his education at St Chad's College, Durham, and Queen's College, Edgbaston, and was ordained in 1961. His early ministry included curacies in Daventry, Reading, and Wokingham before moving on to several incumbencies. Notably, he served as Provost of St Andrew's Cathedral in Inverness from 1988 to 1991 and later as Rural Dean of Rickmansworth until his retirement in 2001.
