Alan Langford, born Alan Owen on 28 February 1928, was a British radio producer and light music composer. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and worked extensively as a music producer at the BBC for notable programs. Under his pen name, he composed various works including Diversion, Interludes, and Petite Promenade. His pieces were often used in BBC productions and for crime serials in the 1950s and 1960s. Langford passed away on 9 February 2011, leaving a significant mark in light music.
