Sir Alan Walter Rudge is a prominent British electrical engineer, born on October 17, 1937, in London. He served as Chairman of the ERA Foundation until December 2012 and was then appointed as its President. Rudge also held the position of Chairman of the Board of Management of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 for eleven years, succeeding Sir Denis Rooke. His contributions to engineering and leadership roles have been recognized with a CBE and fellowship in both the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society.
