Alan Vitouš is a Czech drummer and composer born on April 26, 1946, in Prague. Coming from a musical family, he initially played in the Junior Trio with his brother Miroslav and musician Jan Hammer during the 1960s. After a break, he returned to music in the late 1970s. Vitouš has collaborated with various artists, including Jiří Stivín, and has released albums with his brother. In addition to music, he has composed scores for several films and works with actor Jaroslav Dušek in improvisational theater.
