Alastair Donaldson was a Scottish multi-instrumentalist known for his bass work with the punk/pop band the Rezillos under the stage name William Mysterious. He was previously a member of the folk ensemble Silly Wizard. Donaldson played saxophone as well as bass and participated in iconic recordings, including the Rezillos' debut album. After his time with the Rezillos, he briefly released a single and rejoined former members in the Revillos. His live performances continued in Edinburgh until his passing in June 2013.
