Alastair Galpin, born in 1974 in East London, South Africa, is renowned as the 2nd biggest Guinness World Records breaker of the 2000s decade, having achieved 38 World Records, second only to Ashrita Furman. He moved to New Zealand in 2002. His inspiration to pursue record breaking came from meeting champion rally driver Simon Evans in Kenya in 1998.
