Major Alastair Watson is a retired British Army officer and former private secretary to Prince Andrew, Duke of York. He was born in February 1953 in Wuppertal, West Germany. Watson served in the Black Watch regiment from 1976 and had multiple operational tours including in Ulster and Belize. After leaving the army in 1991, he worked for Fired Earth plc, becoming Sales Director. He was honored as a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order in 2011.
