Albert Adib was a Lebanese poet, writer, and journalist born in Mexico in 1908. He moved to Lebanon with his mother at age five and lived in Alexandria, Cairo, and Sudan. After establishing himself in Lebanon, he contributed to various newspapers and magazines and founded the magazine 'Al-Adib' in Beirut in 1942. He was influential in modern Arabic poetry, recognized for his symbolism and his unique style that blends romanticism, symbolism, and realism. He co-founded the Progressive Socialist Party in 1949 and established Radio of the East in 1938.
