Albert Driedger was a Manitoba politician who served in the Legislative Assembly from 1977 to 1999 as a Progressive Conservative. He held several cabinet positions under Premier Gary Filmon, including Minister of Government Services and Minister of Highways and Transportation. A noted local figure, he was also reeve of Hanover and involved with the Elim Mennonite Church. Driedger gained some fame when his frog won a jumping championship in 1970. He retired from politics in 1999 and passed away in 2011 after a stroke.
