Albert-Félix de Lapparent (September 9, 1905 – February 28, 1975) was a French paleontologist and a clergyman of the Society of Priests of Saint Sulpice. He participated in numerous fossil-hunting expeditions in the Sahara Desert and significantly contributed to the understanding of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. His work led to the naming of various dinosaur species including Inosaurus tedreftensis and Lusitanosaurus liassicus. Additionally, he discovered the giant crocodile Sarcosuchus in 1964. The dinosaur Lapparentosaurus was named in his honor by José Fernando Bonaparte in 1986.
