He won the prestigious PC twice, first in 1957 alongside King Jan Sijtsma and Sake Faber, and again in 1959 with fellow villager and King Rinnie Kuiper and Meindert van der Weerd. His career spanned from 1951 to 1963, during which he achieved 203 points in 13 years at the highest level of play. Post-retirement, he dedicated twenty years to the local kéts association, mentoring the youth, notably his four sons, especially the successful Peter.
