Albert Thomas Price (1903–1978) was a notable British geophysicist known for his contributions to geomagnetism and applied mathematics. Educated at Monmouth School and Manchester University, he held positions at several prestigious institutions including Queen's University and Imperial College, eventually becoming Professor at the University of Exeter. His work during WWII involved consulting for the Admiralty and developing theories on underwater explosions and floating breakwaters for the Normandy landing. He received the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society for his research and the Price Medal is awarded in his honor.
