Alberto R. Cutié, born on April 29, 1969, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a Cuban-American Episcopal priest, known as Padre Alberto. Ordained as a Catholic priest in 1995, he gained fame through his television and radio programs. In May 2009, he left the Roman Catholic Church following the emergence of personal photos and his admission of love for a woman. He cited mandatory celibacy among the reasons for his departure. He later married Ruhama Buni Canellis and joined the Episcopal Church, currently serving as rector of St. Benedict's in Plantation, Florida.
