Alberto Jesús Benítez Flórez, known as El Tigre, was an Argentine footballer born on January 22, 1951, who played as a left winger primarily along the touchline. He gained prominence in Colombia, becoming an idol of Deportivo Cali where he scored 136 goals in 293 matches, including 13 in the Copa Libertadores. He made his professional debut in 1972 with Banfield and had a successful career until he returned to Argentina in 1982, where he played for various clubs and retired from Ferro Carril Oeste in 1989. He passed away on September 20, 2016.
