Aldar Petrovich Gorbunov (November 8, 1927, Moscow – December 19, 2018, Almaty) was a Soviet and Kazakhstani geographer and glaciologist. He held a Doctor of Geographical Sciences degree and was a professor. His work contributed significantly to the fields of geography and glaciology in the former Soviet Union and Kazakhstan.
