Alderson "Stretch" Propps was an American football player and coach, born on October 17, 1912, in Fayetteville, West Virginia. He served as the athletic director and head football coach at Morris Harvey College, now University of Charleston, in 1946 but resigned after only two games that season. He was succeeded by his assistant, Eddie King. Propps passed away on August 10, 1993. His brief coaching tenure is noted, reflecting both his impact on the institution and the challenges faced during his short time as head coach.
