For his bravery in combat, he was posthumously awarded the Gold Medal of Military Valor. His last mission took place over the Mediterranean Sea, where he demonstrated exceptional courage. Forzinetti died on December 17, 1941, and is remembered for his contributions and valor in the Italian Air Force.
