Aldur Wictor Eriksson (1927-2015) was a Swedish-speaking Finnish physician, geneticist, and professor. He graduated from the University of Helsinki in 1956 and received his doctorate in 1973. Eriksson conducted research at the Academy of Finland from 1964 to 1972 and held the chair of genetics at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam from 1973 to 1994. After retirement, he continued research at Folkhälsan until 2006. He published extensively on population genetics, hereditary eye diseases, and twin pregnancies, with significant contributions to the field.
