Alec Devon Kreider was a teenage murderer who, at age 16, killed his classmate Kevin Haines and his parents in Manheim Township, Pennsylvania, on May 12, 2007. He was arrested on June 16, 2007, pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, and was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. Following a Supreme Court ruling on juvenile sentencing, he became eligible for a resentencing. Kreider died by suicide in prison on January 20, 2017, shortly before his resentencing hearing.
