Born into impoverished circumstances despite noble ancestry, he was educated in Buenos Aires and became involved with the Ultraistas literary group, where he interacted with notable figures like Jorge Luis Borges. His best-known work, 'The Unfortunate Son,' was published posthumously, although some believe it may have been authored by Borges. Carrascosa's disappearance remains unsolved, with various theories regarding his fate.
