Aleksander Igonin was an Estonian artist born on October 22, 1939, in Leningrad. After moving to Tallinn in 1945, he developed his artistic career, studying at the Estonian State Art Institute. He worked as a drawing teacher and later became the chief artist of Kohtla-Järve. Despite health challenges, including glaucoma in his later years, Igonin continued to draw until his passing on November 3, 2013, in Tallinn.
