Aleksander Kosiba was a Polish geographer, geophysicist, glaciologist, and climatologist, born on January 18, 1901, in Libusza and died on September 18, 1981, in Wrocław. He completed his undergraduate studies at Jan Kazimierz University. Notably, he participated in a Greenland expedition in 1934, during which he conducted research for five months. In 1978, he published his last scientific work, titled 'The snow, glaciers — ice sheets.' Kosiba's contributions have been recognized in the field of geography and environmental science.
