Aleksander Jakob Videčnik was a Slovenian historian and editor born on December 11, 1920. He served as a senior administrative worker and retired director of the Celje City Savings Bank. His research focused on cooperatives and banking, particularly the work of Mihael Vošnjak and the cultural history of the Upper Savinja Valley. After moving to Mozirje in 1977, he became active in the local Tourist Society and served as editor for the local newspaper Savinjske novice, alongside being an active member and president of the Cultural Society of Mozirje.
