Aleksandr Ivanovich Markov, born on May 26, 1985, is a Russian eventing rider known for his participation in major competitions. He competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he was eliminated in the individual event and finished 13th with his team. Markov also participated in the European Eventing Championships in 2009 and 2017, achieving his best performance of 19th place individually in 2017 aboard the horse Kurfurstin. In 2021, he was selected to compete in the delayed Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics with his horse Leader.
