He worked at various research institutes including IPM and contributed significantly to applied celestial mechanics, space vehicle navigation, robotics, and computational methods. He received several awards, including the Lenin Prize and the State Prize of the USSR, and passed away on September 17, 2017, being buried at Troekurovskoye Cemetery.
