Aleksandr Ivanovich Shargunov is a Russian Orthodox priest, mitrophoric archpriest, and the rector of the Church of St. Nicholas in Pyzhi, Moscow. He is also the head of the public committee 'For the Moral Revival of the Fatherland' and is known for his work as a publicist. He was born on December 31, 1940, in the village of Trud No. 4, Nagorsky District, Kirov Oblast. He is the father of writer Sergey Shargunov.
