Aleksiej Grigorowicz-Barski was a Russian émigré and military figure born on February 28, 1913, in Saint Petersburg. After the October Revolution, his family emigrated to France. He co-founded the youth organization 'Junyj dobrowolec'. During World War II, he served in the Russian Army of Liberation and later in the Armed Forces of the Committee for the Liberation of the Peoples of Russia. He was also a social-religious activist and a documentary filmmaker, directing several films, including one on Tsar Nicholas II.
