Aleksiej Michajłowicz Stachowicz, born on October 10, 1918, in Stockholm, was a Russian émigré activist and an officer in the Wehrmacht during World War II. After his family moved to several countries, he completed his education in Salzburg and was involved in scouting. Mobilized in 1938 into the Austrian army, he later joined the Wehrmacht, fought in the French campaign, and on the Eastern front against the Soviets, achieving the rank of captain and earning the Iron Cross. He returned to Salzburg post-war, becoming a telecommunications engineer and later engaged in Cossack military organizations.
