Alenka Eržen Šuštaršič was a Slovenian sculptor born on January 21, 1926, in Krško and passed away on February 21, 2005, in Ljubljana. She graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1951 and created notable psychological portraits and expressive reliefs. A member of the Group 53, her works include cycles on figures, trees, and wooden sculptures. Besides sculpture, she painted psychologically profound portraits in the 1960s and later utilized mixed techniques on paper. Her only public monument is dedicated to the folk singer Franc Ledru Lesičjak in Globasnica, Carinthia.
