Alex Sanders (June 6, 1926 – April 30, 1988) was an English magician and occultist known for his work in the realms of mysticism and astrology. He was the High Priest of the New Pagan religion of Wicca and established the Alexandrian Wicca tradition during the 1960s. He gained significant fame in the press during the 1960s, earning the title 'King of the Witches' from his followers. In the late 1970s and 1980s, he was associated with a magical ritual group called Ordine Della Luna. Sanders passed away from lung cancer, leaving a legacy of approximately 100,000 followers in the UK, USA, and Canada.
