Alexan Karapetyan is an Armenian artist born on January 15, 1941, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He graduated from the Yerevan Art College in 1961 and the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre in 1967. A member of the Union of Artists of Armenia since 1979, he taught at the Ejmiatsin Painting School from 1971 to 1993 and at an experimental center for children's aesthetic education from 1993 to 1998. His notable works include compositions like 'Spring', 'Flight of the Soul', and 'The Secret of Eternity'.
