Alexander Arzoumanian is an Armenian politician born on December 24, 1959, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union. He served as Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1996 to 1998. Prior to this role, he was Armenia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1992 to 1996 and the Armenian Ambassador to the United States from 1992 to 1993. He was also a member of the Armenian National Assembly from 2012 to 2017 representing the liberal party Free Democrats. Since February 2019, he has served as Armenia's Ambassador to Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
