Alexander Burutin is a Russian Lieutenant General born on December 24, 1956. He served as an adviser to the President of Russia from 2003 to 2007 and held the position of First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces from 2007 until late 2010. Subsequently, he was Deputy Director for Research at the Institute for Economic Safety and Strategic Planning from 2011 to 2013, and later became Director for Planning and Organization of Research and Development at the same university until 2014. Since then, he has worked with ARMZ Uranium Holding.
